About Selena
From Selena:
"I am very passionate about animals and their wellbeing and dedicate my life to the welfare of animals. I am a licensed veterinary technician and work at an emergency clinic in Seattle. From a young age, I knew I would lead a life around animals. I aim to dedicate my life to animal welfare advocacy through non-profit work and veterinary medicine. Selena has experience working at animal sanctuaries, wildlife centers, rescues, and most recently in emergency veterinary medicine. I love getting outdoors with dogs, especially on long walks, but also love to stay home and relax with less energetic and home-body pets. I have lots of helpful experience with animals from my volunteer and work related jobs at animals sanctuaries and shelters. I love pet sitting and knowing I can provide quality care to pets and families. I have experience with many dog and cat personalities and behaviors, and will take special care of each animal's needs and comfort levels when it comes to socializing, play time, etc. I also have a lot of experience with medications (oral, injected), multi-dog management, puppies, shy/nervous animals, energetic animals, small to large, you name it!
My dog
I am a proud mom of a Doberman/pittie mix tripod named Pablo. He is a rescue from Seattle Humane transferred from Texas. He loves other dogs. He can be reactive to dogs on leash, but once introduced does great! He does very well with younger dogs, but does well with correction from other dogs during play. Please let me know if I can ever bring him along! He is also cat experienced. See photos here!
I am also fully capable of caring for other animals such as horses, chickens, goats, and exotic pets! I used to work as a horse barn manager at a local non-profit and used to volunteer at a local farm animal sanctuary.
Experience with a wide range of animals.
